Elisabeth Seliga is an Assistant Researcher at the Applied Economics Clinic. Prior to joining AEC, she attended the University of Southern Maine, where she received a B.A. in Environmental Planning and Policy. While in school, Ms. Seliga held positions as both a Research Assistant and a Teaching Assistant for the Environmental Science and Policy Department. She also completed an internship with Acadian Composite Materials in which she conducted life cycle analyses for eco-friendly residential building materials, with particular emphasis on factors associated with global warming.
Ms. Seliga collaborated on two environmental research projects that were published in the Digital Commons and presented as posters in the 2020 and 2021 Thinking Matters Symposiums at the University of Southern Maine. She is a member of the Kappa Alpha Omicron Honor Society for the Interdisciplinary Environmental Association, a growing network of like-minded individuals with the goal of expanding the current state of knowledge on environmental matters. She is also an editorial board member for Spire: The Maine Journal of Conservation and Sustainability. Ms. Seliga is driven by her passion for climate policy and environmental justice, along with her interest in conservation, environmental restoration, and public health.
