Assistant Researcher (she/her)
Elisabeth Seliga is an Assistant Researcher at the Applied Economics Clinic. She has over three years of experience in research and analysis, with a focus on environmental justice, climate and energy policy, equitable decarbonization, and spatial equity analysis. Her recent work has focused on identifying pathways and priority areas for clean energy expansion, analyzing equity provisions in energy programs, ensuring an equitable transition away from fossil fuels, and evaluating the localized impacts of fossil fuel-fired power plants. Ms. Seliga is passionate about advancing environmental justice and equitable strategies for decarbonization efforts.
Prior to joining AEC, Ms. Seliga completed an internship with Acadian Composite Materials, where she conducted life cycle analyses for eco-friendly residential building materials, focusing primarily on climate change impacts. She also served as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant for the Environmental Science and Policy Department at the University of Southern Maine.
Ms. Seliga holds a B.A. in Environmental Planning and Policy from the University of Southern Maine, where she was recognized for her academic excellence and research contributions, including co-authored projects published in the Digital Commons.
