Eugenia Gibbons

Former AEC Board Member

Director, Clean Energy Program, Mass Energy Consumers Alliance

Eugenia Gibbons is the director of the Clean Energy Program at Energy Consumers Alliance of New England (ECANE), which goes by Mass Energy Consumers Alliance (Mass Energy) in Massachusetts and as People’s Power & Light in Rhode Island. She is working to influence, improve, and advance renewable energy and energy efficiency policies and programs in MA & RI through direct advocacy, customer education, and stakeholder coordination. She oversees program outreach to provide energy services to over 20,000 ECANE members. Ms. Gibbons developed and launched the organization’s renewable thermal initiative partnering with the Executive Director of ECANE.

Her clean energy team is also involved in the Solar Connect initiative to increase adoption of residential solar PV in MA, which is funded by Mass Clean Energy Center. Before joining ECANE, Ms. Gibbons worked as a program coordinator at Environmental League of Massachusetts, and was the director of GWSP Network Coordinator of ELM.

Ms. Gibbons holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut, and an M.A. in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University.
