AEC assisted Sierra Club with its submission of Comments on Entergy Louisiana, LLC (Entergy), Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO), and Cleco Power LLC’s (Cleco) 2027 Integrated Resource Plan Initial Data Assumptions. Sierra Club’s comments addressed recommendations for Entergy, SWEPCO and Cleco in their forthcoming IRPs, including issues related to assumptions regarding: natural gas capital costs, coal unit retirements, tax credit eligibility for renewable wind and solar resources, carbon price scenarios, carbon capture and storage and hydrogen fuel costs, renewable resource costs, gas price scenarios, large loads and load forecasts, surplus and replacement interconnection capacity, and capacity credits.
